Activate Your Phone

Get your Free Link Wireless phone or SIM connected in a few minutes.

Before you start

  • Charge your phone to at least 50%
  • Connect to Wi-Fi if possible
  • Have your activation email or welcome letter nearby
  • If keeping your number, don't cancel your old service yet

Activating a phone from Free Link Wireless

  1. Power on the phone and follow the setup screens.
  2. If a SIM card is included, it's already inserted. For eSIM phones, follow the eSIM guide.
  3. Restart the phone once setup is complete.
  4. Make a test call and send a test text.

Activating a SIM in your own phone

  1. Power off your phone.
  2. Insert the Free Link Wireless SIM using the SIM tray tool.
  3. Power on and wait for the network to appear.
  4. Update carrier settings if prompted.

Troubleshooting

  • No service: Restart, then toggle Airplane Mode on and off.
  • Data not working: Check that mobile data is on and APN settings match your welcome letter.
  • Number transfer pending: Ports can take up to 24 hours. See porting.
