eSIM Setup

Activate service without a physical SIM card on eSIM-capable phones.

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. U.S. models of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 use eSIM only. Many other phones, including the iPhone 13, iPhone 11, and iPhone SE 3, support both eSIM and a physical SIM.

Set up eSIM on iPhone

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi.
  2. Go to Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data) → Add eSIM.
  3. Choose Use QR Code and scan the QR code from your Free Link Wireless activation email.
  4. Follow the prompts and label the line.
  5. Restart your iPhone.

Set up eSIM on Android

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi.
  2. Go to Settings → Connections (or Network & internet) → SIM manager.
  3. Tap Add eSIM and scan your QR code.
  4. Restart your phone.
Important

Don't delete your eSIM unless our support team asks you to — you may need a new QR code to reinstall it.
