How charts are built
Charts on our site use published figures — for example, income limits are calculated as 135% of the 2025 HHS Poverty Guidelines. Each chart lists its source.
Review schedule
- Annually: income limits when new poverty guidelines take effect
- As needed: program rule changes, state updates, and device lineup changes
- On report: any reader-reported error
Verification roles
Our Verification Editor checks sources and claims; our Senior Research Editor reviews program and eligibility content; our Editorial Director approves corrections.
